Two fabulous concerts in the beautiful surroundings of St Peter Mancroft Church
7pm - Chopin Études (complete)
10.30pm by candlelight - programme to include a selection of Chopin Nocturnes
Every great pianist learns the Chopin Études and Nocturnes and many venture to play selections of them in public. But it is the rare keyboard athlete who dares to perform these works in one sitting-and before a live audience. Acclaimed for his mastery of this intensely beautiful yet technically challenging repertoire, French-Canadian pianist Louis Lortie provides a rare opportunity to hear the complete Études and a selection of Nocturnes over the course of one evening.
